Heritage Elementary School
1999 Southside Independent School District
The new Elementary School for Southside Independent School District is constructed on a rural 20 acre site in South Bexar County that was developed in tandem with the school. The 67,500 square foot campus includes 38 classrooms, library, cafeteria with kitchen and performance stage, gymnasium, and administrative offices. The initial development houses 660 students with the core facilities designed to accommodate 800 students.
The heart of the campus is the library located at the main entry courtyard. Radiating from the center are the classroom wings. The school is sited on a high point of the campus, dramatically visible from the highway with views of the surrounding farmland from all sides of the buildings.
