Maintenance and Transportation Facilities

2007     Southside Independent School District

The new Maintenance and Transportation Facilities for Southside Independent School District are located on a 20 acre parcel in South Bexar County.  The Transportation facility has parking for 80 buses, a fuel island, bus wash, and four work bays with cranes, a hoist, and other specialized equipment.  The bus wash station is equipped with a cistern to capture recycled water, and a refueling station for buses.  The Maintenance facility accommodates the School District's Carpentry, Mechanical, and Electrical Departments as well as general warehouse needs, with large 13' overhead doors for delivery.  Central HVAC control for the District's energy management system is housed here as well.
