Goose Island State Park Shelters

Forty-five shade shelters were replaced at Goose Island State Park as a part of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Region III Capital Repairs Project.  The park is located at the southern tip of Lamar Peninsula within the bays and estuaries of the Texas Gulf Coastal Bend.  The bay-front shelters are precast concrete structures with prefabricated components, assembled on site, with water and electricity.  Local wildlife is highlighted with four motifs cast into the concrete forms.
