Randolph Fine Arts Facility

2005     Randolph Independent School District

The new Fine Arts Facility for Randolph Secondary Schools is located near Randolph Middle School on a nine acre site.  The 18,000 square foot facility provides the Secondary school with a new Band Hall, performance, and practice facilities.

The building is organized around a single central corridor with entries at both ends.  Band and choir functions are divided programmatically by this corridor.  The main band rehearsal hall has practice rooms and uniform, instrument, and general storage rooms opening directly from the rehearsal hall.  A large percussion rehearsal room has doors to the main band hall and corridor, and is adjacent to a second band rehearsal hall.  The music technology room is centrally located between the band and choir areas.  The choir room has practice rooms and robe / equipment storage opening directly from the choir room.

The development of future facilities, such as an auditorium, gymnasium, and additional parking was taken into account during the site planning and design of the Fine Arts Facility.
