Southside ISD Athletic Facilities

To meet critical athletic sports seasons, the expansion of the Southwest Independent School District's high school football stadium and addition of spring sports facilities was divided into two packages.

The bleacher replacement project, completed in three months, dismantled the existing 1,500 seat home side bleachers, and reassembled them on the Visitor's side.  New 3,000 seat bleachers with a press box were constructed on the home side.  The construction of the project began after the last track meet in May and was completed before the first home football game in August.

The new spring sports Athletic Fields consist of a baseball stadium and softball stadium, each with concessions, press box, dub-outs and lighting, a soccer field, and three practice fields.  New restroom and concessions buildings were constructed to serve both the football stadium and the spring sports athletic fields.  This package was also time sensitive, and construction was finished in time for the first baseball games of the spring season.
